    Travel from Bangkok to Ubud on a voyage of discovery. Soaking up the regions traditional culture and revel in the exotic flavours of the islands. With golden temples and saffron-robed monks, soft white sand beaches and bright blue skies, tantalising seafood and a host of shopping spots, our journey from Thailand to Indonesia via the Malay Peninsula is sure to delight.

    • Day 1-2: Bangkok

      Before the adventure begins, why not tuck into a pad thai at a local street stall or relax with a traditional Thai massage. Then it’s time to escape the city heat with a cruise along Chao Phraya River and a visit to the impressive reclining Buddha.

    • Day 3-4: Khao Sok National Park

      After an overnight train from Bangkok to Surat Thani, travel into the verdant Khao Sok National Park. Spend a night in a rustic hut amid ancient gnarled rainforest trees. Explore this dense and mysterious jungle on foot before cooling off underneath a waterfall.

    • Day 5: Homestay

      Sit back and enjoy a local bus ride to Krabi province. Upon arriving at a village homestay, take a walk through the surrounding area and enjoy fine local food and hospitality. This is a wonderful opportunity to absorb some of the daily rituals of Thai culture.

    • Day 6-7: Krabi

      Sun-seekers will fall in love with Krabi’s unspoilt beaches; the spectacular limestone cliffs will tempt avid rock climbers, while scuba fans can embark on a Krabi diving adventure.

    • Day 8-9: Penang

      Take a rickshaw tour through the streets of Georgetown, visiting Fort Cornwallis and Kek Lok Si temple.

    • Day 10-11: Kuala Lumpur

      Absorb the multicultural mix that is Kuala Lumpur on a half-day city tour. In free time, stroll Dataran Merdeka, shop in Suria KLCC or scale the 272 steps up to the Batu Caves. Be sure to indulge in the myriad tasty food options Kuala Lumpur is famous for.

    • Day 12-13: Melaka

      Get to know the historic port city of Melaka, and admire Chinatown’s unique Peranakan architecture from the back of a trishaw.

    • Day 14: Singapore

      Arrive in Singapore where the journey ends. While here, why not sip a Singapore Sling in the Raffles Hotel, where the famous drink was invented, or seek out a bargain on Orchard Road.

    • Day 15: Jakarta

      If arriving early in Jakarta, perhaps get acclimatised on a walk through the old town of Kota or head to the National Museum of Indonesia for a slice of history.

    • Day 16: Bandung

      Climb aboard a train to Bandung, a bustling regional city in the heart of West Java. Enjoy a guided city tour and take in a Angklung performance in the evening

    • Day 17-18: Pangandaran

      Travel south-east through many small towns and villages heading towards the lush Indonesian coast. Glide between the impressive caves of the Green Canyon and take a dip in the turquoise water before heading to Pangandaran.

    • Day 19-21: Yogyakarta

      Travel inland to Yogyakarta, a fascinating place that still embodies many practices of traditional Indonesian culture, despite becoming increasingly modernised. See the first rays of daylight break over Borobudur Temple and watch them disappear behind Prambanan Temple at sunset.

    • Day 22: Seloliman Nature Reserve

      Get back to nature in Seloliman Reserve, on the slopes of Penanggungan volcano. Feast on fresh organic fare at the Environmental Education Centre and learn about the inspiring work being done by volunteers here.

    • Day 23: Mt Bromo

      Discover secrets of traditional Javanese medicine on a morning hike. Meet friendly locals and perk up with a pot of freshly brewed coffee. Hit the road bound for the cultivated landscapes of the Tengger Valley.

    • Day 24-25: Kalibaru

      Rise before dawn to begin the trek up Mt Bromo. The sight of this steaming volcanic landscape bathed in morning light is about as good as it gets.

    • Day 26: Tanah Lot

      Make tracks to the beautiful coast of Bali and soak up a peaceful sunset on the steps of Tanah Lot temple.

    • Day 27-28: Ubud

      Arrive in the quaint, leafy paradise of Ubud. With a vibrant local arts scene, bustling market place, cheeky monkey forest and lush rice paddies dotted among villages, Ubud is the ideal place to wrap up this Indonesian adventure.
