The minimum contract period is 21 days and maximum 165 (175 days if you collect your car in Paris); It is a temporary ownership scheme with a guaranteed buy back arrangement from Citroën. It is sponsored by the French government and has been an on-going success for over 50 years.
You will receive a brand new car straight from the factory registered in your name as a non-resident of Europe and it is yours to drive away on holiday. The car is assigned special registration plates under the Tourist Transit or (T.T.) scheme and is exempt of all taxes.
To qualify, you must reside outside of the European Union and you cannot receive any income from EU revenue producing activities. You must also plan to return to your residence outside of EU at the end of your stay.
Your day to day itinerary is for you to design but we suggest you do some research on these useful websites that can help you plan your route to avoid motorways or road tolls plus you will also be provided with the total distance of the journey together with the estimated time it should take. Details will also include a list of the distance to each junction, road numbers and all other route information required to avoid getting lost!
