Egypt’s history spans over 5000 years and wonderful examples of its magnificent past are dotted the length of the mighty Nile.

When the mighty Greek warrior Alexander the Great first conquered Egypt over 2300 years ago, his scribes wrote in awe of the Pyramids and Sphinx, structures they called at the time, ancient.
 
The awe-inspiring temple complex of Karnak, near Luxor, covers more than 60 acres and features such glories as a massive hypostyle hall, avenue of sphinx, obelisk and holy lake, the Valley of Kings with tombs shrouded in mystery and complicated ritual, the unique funerary temple of the female pharaoh, Hatchepsut, tucked back into a steep cliff face, Edfu, with it's medicine walls and near complete structure and Abu Simbel, moved stone by stone in a massive UNESCO effort to save it from rising waters of Lake Nasser on the completion of the Aswan High Dam.

Nile Cruises

Our choice of Nile cruises depart from Luxor and finish in Aswan to allow greater flexibility for those wanting to visit Abu Simbel.  Tours to Abu Sinbel depart early in the morning from Aswan Airport.  Generally itineraries can operate in either direction depending on Cruise boat schedules.
