Colonial Havana & Vinales
Basing ourselves in Havana for the first half of the week, we explore the highlights of this captivating colonial city from our centrally located hotel. There's also free time to try some quintessential Cuban experiences; ride in an old American car; visit a cigar factory and salsa! We also include a trip out to Vinales, exploring on foot an eclectic landscape of limestone peaks and tobacco growing in the rich, red soil.
Trinidad & Caribbean
Heading south, we pause at the infamous Bay of Pigs on the Zapata Peninsula, before continuing to the sleepy and laid-back town of Trinidad. After wandering down cobbled back-streets and amongst the artisan markets, there's time to relax on the sandy beaches of the Caribbean and head up into the hills of Topes de Collantes to enjoy the forest trails and plentiful birdlife. Finally, we return to Havana via the impressive mausoleum to Che Guevara at Santa Clara.
